The 2024 Birmingham Barons was the 11th Barons team to play in downtown Birmingham's Regions Field. The season marked the 1st season under the ownership of Diamond Baseball Holdings (DBH) of Menlo Park, California, and the team's 37th year as a Chicago White Sox AA affiliate.

The Barons played as part of the North Division of Minor League Baseball's 8-team "Double-A South". Division rivals included the Chattanooga Lookouts, Rocket City Trash Pandas, and Tennessee Smokies.

Field manager Sergio Santos took over the reins from Lorenzo Bundy. He was joined by returning hitting coach Nicky Delmonico and new pitching coach John Ely. Carson Wooten was the Barons' athletic trainer, with Angel Rosado as bench coach and Juan Maldonado as performancy coach.

On May 18 the Barons took their turn appearing as the "Malmö Oak Milkers" as part of Minor League Baseball's season-long promotional agreement with Oatly Group AB Of Malmö, Sweden.
