Allwin Horn

Allwin E. "Al" Horn III (born c. 1944) is a former Jefferson County Circuit Court judge who served from 1996 to June 2009 on the civil courts of the 10th Judicial Circuit of Alabama.

Horn earned a bachelor of science at the University of Alabama in 1996 and his juris doctorate from the University of Alabama School of Law in 1968. He practiced law with the firm of Spain & Gillon for 27 years before being appointed to the bench by Fob James. He ran unopposed for re-election as a Republican in 1998 and 2004. He retired in 2009 to his own personal injury practice. He joined the firm of Hollis Wright Clay & Vail along with his son, Allwin Horn IV in January 2018.
