Big Communications is a advertising agency founded in 1995 by John Montgomery III. It is currently headquartered at 2121 2nd Avenue North.

Big won national ADDY awards for its "Go Build" campaign for the Alabama Construction Recruitment Institute, and for a sales video it created for Royal Cup Coffee in 2012. The firm is also known locally for its "IN Birmingham" campaign for the Birmingham Convention and Visitors Bureau and the "Open" campaign for the Birmingham Business Alliance's "Blueprint Birmingham" strategic plan.

Big was recognized as "Small Agency of the Year" by Advertising Age magazine in 2013. The firm moved to its current location from 1031 Richard Arrington Jr Boulevard South that same year. In 2015 Big secured a national campaign for Valvoline Inc. of Lexington, Kentucky. The 90 second film "Run", one of a trio of marketing films for Valvoline collectively titled "Never Idle", was shortlisted for a 2018 Clio Award.

Big partner and chief strategy officer Mark Ervin was promoted to president of the firm in August 2018, with Montgomery remaining as chairman and CEO. Ervin stepped down from his role in late 2020 and left the firm.

In advance of the 2020 U.S. Census Big produced a multi-media "Alabama Counts" public education campaign for the Alabama Department of Economic and Community Affairs. That project received a "Lantern" award from the Tupelo, Mississippi-based Southern Public Relations Federation and a "Platinum PR Award" from PRNEWS.

In 2021 Big's junior art director Tyra Robinson was recognized as a "rising star" in the field by Insider magazine.
