The Birmingham Business Leadership Group is an organization of business and community leaders in the Birmingham area which seeks to encourage open dialog between the business community and elected leaders. The organization was formed during the administration of Richard Arrington, Jr. Its current membership includes about 75 people who meet informally with the Mayor of Birmingham and other officials. The group's chair is former Birmingham-Southern College president Neal Berte.

In March 2008, the group created a panel to commission a study of three potential sites for a domed stadium as proposed by Mayor Larry Langford. The panel is co-chaired by John Johns, CEO of Protective Life and Alagasco President Dudley Reynolds. Also on the panel are J. Mason Davis Jr, a partner with law firm Sirote & Permutt; Ann Florie, executive director of Leadership Birmingham; Don Logan, an owner of the Birmingham Barons and CEO of Time Warner Cable; and Reynolds Thompson, CEO of Colonial Properties Trust. Langford asked the panel to evaluate the proposed sites as if the dome were their own company's project. A report is expected by late summer 2008.
