Children's Park Place is a 2,271-space parking deck at 1600 5th Avenue South serving Children's Hospital, with outpatient medical offices on the north and south sides. The building occupies the entirety of Block 158 between 4th and 5th Avenues South and 16th and 17th Streets.

The original $15.5 million project, with 1,681 parking spaces in an 11-level deck and a narrow strip of office space on the South, was built jointly by Children's Hospital and SouthPace Properties in 1994. While the concrete-framed deck is expressed simplistically at a massive scale, the office portion features a patterned brick veneer, rounded ends, and a deep cornice.

A 590-space addition, with curved, perforated steel "scales" on the exterior and 100,000 square feet of office and data center space on the north side, was completed in 2004.

The architect for both the original structure and the addition was Giattina Fisher Aycock. The design was awarded an Honor Citation from the American Institute of Architects Gulf States Region, a Merit Award from the Alabama Chapter of the AIA, and an Honor Award from AIA Birmingham.
