The Comedy Club Stardome (originally The Comedy Club) is a nightclub and event center featuring performances by stand-up comedians at 1818 Data Drive in Hoover.

The club was opened by Bruce Ayers in 1983 in a 200-seat venue above the Tara House hotel on Independence Drive in Homewood. In 1985 Ayers moved it to a larger space at The Village on Green Springs on Green Springs Highway. Ayers had just signed a 10-year lease that included renaming the shopping center "Comedy Club Plaza" when the club was destroyed by fire during the Blizzard of 1993 on March 12, 1993.

In October of that year, Ayers opened the Comedy Club Stardome, a 420-seat theater with banquet facilities and other amenities, in Hoover. Ayers' wife, Che Che, and two daughters help run the business.

The Comedy Club Stardome was a launchpad for several successful comedians, including Sinbad, Steve Harvey, and Rickey Smiley.
