Dave's Pub
Dave's Pub is a bar located in the ground floor of the Terrace Court apartments, at 1128 20th Street South in Five Points South. It was opened by attorney Crawford Williams in 1995 in the space formerly occupied by the Stream of Consciousness Koffeehuis.
Rudi Quarles was general manager of the bar from 2002 to 2013. John Parker bought the bar in 2021, leveraging the bar's on-and-off-premise license for his BUZD Delivery alcohol delivery service.
Dave's Pub made news late that year for posting signs in the restrooms urging customers who may be using cocaine to test it for fentanyl first, and offering free test strips. After consultation with the Jefferson County Department of Health the language on the signs was modified.
Dan and Sherri Williams purchased the business from John Parker in May 2024. The bar closed for several weeks for remodeling and transfer of its licenses.
