Homer Brown

Homer Brown (born c. 1949) is a competitive table tennis player, a former Vulcan Oil Company executive, and the owner of BumperNets at the Riverchase Galleria. Known for his "Homer Brown Knee Special" in which he serves from a kneeling position, Brown has competed in every U. S. Open Table Tennis Championship held since 1968 and won several gold medals in the Senior Olympics.

Brown was a psychology major at Covenant College in Lookout Mountain, Georgia. He worked for British Petroleum for 23 years before moving to Vulcan Oil, then resigned in 1998. He founded Bumper Nets in 1999.
