ImagiCon was a science fiction and fantasy fan convention held in Birmingham in 2009 and 2010.

2009

The innagural ImagiCon was held March 27-29, 2009 in the East Exhibition Hall of the Birmingham-Jefferson Convention Complex. The event chairs were Tom Woods and Joe Boyd, with event directors, Abby Sadler and Ray Johnson.

The program featured live musical performances (folk, alternative and Celtic), along with charity wrestling, film and television screenings, a midnight rave and specialty tracks for paranormal and hard sciences.

Celebrity guests included author Sherriln Kennon, Felix Silla, Albin Johnson, Bill Johnson, Daniel Emery Taylor, Jim O'Rear, John Dugan, Patricia Albrecht, and Samantha Newark.

2010

ImagiCon 2010 was held May 21-23 at McWane Center, with a AnimeCon held at Old Car Heaven. Celebrity guests included Erin Gray, Timothy Zahn, John Ringo, Travis Taylor, J. F. Lewis, Larry Elmore, Billy Tackett, John Billingsley, Glenn Shadix, Blake Shepard and Gil Gerard.

Live music was featured Friday and Saturday night at Old Car Heaven, with a Lost TV series finale viewing on Sunday. Star Trek movies were shown throughout the weekend in McWane's IMAX Theater.

Cancellation and move

ImagiCon 2011 was original scheduled for May 2022 at the McWane Center, but by February, notice was given that it was cancelled. ImagiCon 2012 was held in June 2012 in Columbus, Georgia.
