Jackie McDougal

Jackie M. McDougal (born c. 1940 - died August 14, 2008) was an attorney and was the Bessemer city judge for more than 33 years.

McDougal graduated from Bessemer High School and the University of Alabama. He recieved his law degree from Cumberland School of Law.

McDougal had been diagnosed with Lou Gehrig's disease. He continued his work for a time after being diagnosed, and could be seen in the courthouse in his wheelchair. In August 2008, a few weeks before his death, McDougal shuttered his law practice and retired as judge, and was replaced by Scott Roebuck.

McDougal is interred at Cedar Hill Cemetery.
