Nana Funks is a bar and late-night dance club located in the Avon Place building at 708 29th Street South in Lakeview.
The business was founded in 2006 by Rebecca Robinson. She sold the business to 29th Street Partners, an LLC founded by Claude Moncus, just as Moncus died in November 2020.
29th Street Partners contracted with Derick Purdy, owner of the adjoining Innisfree Pub, to operate the nightclub. Richard Tsao worked as general manager.
Purdy declined to renew his contract after February 2023 and the nightclub was closed.
