Tamarra Johnson

Tamarra Matthews Johnson is a prosecutor for the U. S. Attorney for the Northern District of Alabama.

Johnson, a Yale alumna, worked in the office of the Solicitor General of the United States and clerked for Supreme Court justice Sandra Day O'Connor before joining the U. S. Attorney's office in 2004. She helped convict State Senator E. B. McClain for corruption and had been mentioned as a possible candidate to succeed U. W. Clemon on the federal bench. She was part of the team that successfully prosecuted former Jefferson County Commissioner Larry Langford in 2009.
