The J. C. Steinbauer Grocery was a small grocery store located at 400 50th Street South in Woodlawn. It was founded in 1910 by John Steinbauer with $500 he borrowed on his home nearby. It was remodeled in 1935 with help from his son, Leonard.
Competition from Hills Food Stores forced Steinbauer to close the store in the 1950s or 1960s. S & A Foods operated there in 1964.
