Gumby (born c. 2012) is a kookaburra, a bird native to Australia, at the Birmingham Zoo that was part of the Schaeffer Eye Center Wildlife Show.
On April 28, 2015, zoo officials reported Gumby was missing. He was found three days later by a landscaper in Homewood. Zoo staffers responded and lured him to them by calling. He was turned over to Stephanie McCain, the zoo veterinarian, for observation, but appeared to be healthy.
