The Magic City Hotel was a hotel operating on the corner of Morris Avenue and 14th Street. The three-story, wood-framed hotel building with 50 rooms was opened in 1887 by L. W. McCants, Master of Trains for the Louisville & Nashville Railroad, and most of his early customers were railroad workers.
