The J. C. McGahan Company was a manufacturer of pressure tank heads located on U.S. Highway 11 in Irondale.

In the 1980s, the company operated as a division of McGahan's Diamond Head Inc., which was incorporated in 1970. It acquired the Presco division of the former Dixie Steel & Supply in Alberta City in 1987.

The company was acquired by Dallas, Texas-based Trinity Industries in 1989. All tank head fabrication was moved to their Alberta City facility, while the Irondale plant was converted for railroad operations. Sales offices were also kept in Birmingham.
