The Foundry Rescue Mission and Recovery Center is a Christian treatment center and shelter located at 1816 6th Avenue North in Bessemer. The executive director is Bill Heintz.
The center provides a broad range of services to people in need:
- an intensive residential recovery program for drug and alcohol addiction
- groceries and thrift store vouchers for clothing and household items provided by request
- weekly children's programs
- weekly church and chapel services with the Foundry Band, including monthly "Meltdown" youth services
- family support classes
- "The Cup" women's fellowship center
- medical care provided by Dr John S. Fischer
Funding for the center comes from donations as well as center-run enterprises:
- SuperThrift Outlet at 727 Bessemer Super Highway (and through eBay.com)
- Furniture shop
- Foundry Studios provides media production services, directed by Stacy Cobb
