Caufield Square was a proposed $30 million entertainment, retail and residential development on Mount Olive Road in downtown Gardendale. It was conceived by a group of developers headed by Bob Jones of Tuscaloosa's Palladium Properties. They assembled the 22-acre site in August 2004 from 24 individual parcels.

Although site work was largely completed, the developers halted the project and placed the property on the real estate market in January 2008. It was eventually sold to Preferred Growth Properties, a division of Books-a-Million.

In 2012 the City of Gardendale purchased the property for a new Gardendale City Hall building. However, the new City Hall was eventually constructed near the existing Civic Center.

Buffalo Wild Wings is located at 2505 Caufield Drive.
