The UAB West Pavilion is a 10-story building that is located at 615 18th Street South and is part of UAB Hospital. It was designed by Helmuth, Obata & Kassabaum and built in 1991 by Dunn Construction. The building was officially dedicated on October 17, 1991.
It is the home of the Bruno Neurosciences Intensive Care Unit, the Camellia Pavilion, an interfaith chapel, and a conference center.
It connects on multiple levels to the UAB Medical Education Building, Spain Wallace Building, Jefferson Tower, and the Boshell Diabetes Building. A pedestrian crosswalk also connects it to the Civitan International Research Center.
