Fledging

Fledging is a seller of high-speed solid-state memory used as external data storage or hardware upgrades. The company was founded in 2018 by Weida Tan and Steven Robbins, launching a Kickstarter campaign to raise funding for its first product, the "Feather SSD" replacement for Mac laptop hard drives.

The company has received investment capital from local groups including McKinney Capital, the Alabama Capital Network and Bronze Valley in 2019. In 2020 executive Ethan Summers was promoted to succeed Tan as CEO.
