Gold Hall (formerly known as the New Freshman Residence Hall or NFR Hall) is a residence hall located on the campus of UAB. The grand opening and dedication of the dorm took place on Wednesday, September 2, 2015. Of the 714 beds, 680 are designated for first-time freshman students, and the rest for resident assistants and professional staff.
The building is located at 900 17th Street South on the north half of the block bordered by 9th and 10th Avenues South and 16th and 17th Streets.
