The Charley Boswell Celebrity Golf Classic was an annual golf tournament hosted by Charley Boswell to benefit the Eye Foundation Hospital from 1974 to 1988.
The inaugural tournament was held at the Port Aquarius Golf Course in Talladega County. Boswell's foursome included Bob Hope and Bear Bryant.
In 1975 the tournament was moved to the Green Valley Country Club. The following year, it was held at the Vestavia County Club, and then moved to the Riverchase Country Club.
Comedian Bob Hope was a fixture at the tournament, usually serving as honorary chairman.
The tournament raised over $1.7 million for the Eye Foundation Hospital and the Helen Keller Eye Research Foundation.
