Staney Oliver

Stanley Oliver Sr (born June 28, 1950, died September 27, 2015) was the chief of the Alabaster Police Department from 2001 to 2012.

Oliver met his wife, the former Laura Miller, when she transferred to Thompson High School. The two married in 1972.

On February 29, 1989, Oliver was shot, but recovered.
