Peasant attended [[Homewood City Schools|Homewood]] and [[Jefferson County Schools]] and graduated from [[Gardendale HIgh School]]. He planned to enter the medical field and attended [[UAB]]. While he was in school his younger brother Kenneth and a nephew were killed in the [[1977 Smithfield tornado]]. After graduating he worked at [[Carraway Hospital]] for a while before moving to the cemetery business, where his caring and gentle manner helped him become a top seller.

Kevin Patrick Peasant (born September 5, 1956 - died July 24, 2009) was a salesman for Elmwood Cemetery and a deacon at Friendship Baptist Church in Homewood.

Peasant attended Homewood and Jefferson County Schools and graduated from Gardendale High School. He planned to enter the medical field and attended UAB. While he was in school his younger brother Kenneth and a nephew were killed in the 1977 Smithfield tornado. After graduating he worked at Carraway Hospital for a while before moving to the cemetery business, where his caring and gentle manner helped him become a top seller.

Peasant died after a stroke in 2009. He is buried in the mausoleum at Elmwood.
