The North Shelby Library is a non-municipal library that serves the northern portion of Shelby County. It is currently located on Highway 119 across from Heardmont Park.The library was created in 1988 by an act of the state legislature and a vote of residents in the area, and it operates as a 501-C-3 non-profit organization. The library operates as part of the Harrison Regional Library System.

North Shelby Library has a library branch that serves Mt Laurel.
