The Seven Springs Watercress Darter Coalition is a non-profit organization incorporated in 2008 by Nichole Herd, Franklin Tate and Kewana McConico.
In 2012 the coalition acquired a 22-acre parcel of former Belcher Timber Co. property on Nabors Branch west of 24th Street Southwest in Jones Valley as a nature preserve, protecting habitat for the endangered Watercress darter.
