The Birmingham Magistrates Office is a department of the Birmingham Municipal Court responsible for establishing probable cause to issue arrest warrants for municipal offenses. Since the 1990s the department has been located behind the David J. Vann Municipal Justice Center in the former Eva Comer Home on the southwest corner of Block 9, at 808 18th Street North.
Arthur Teele is Birmingham's Chief Magistrate and magistrate supervisor.
