West Woodlawn United Methodist Church was a Methodist congregation founded in 1909. Its name changed twice as a result of denominational mergers. Initially it was West Woodlawn Methodist Episcopal Church, South. From 1939 to 1986 it was West Woodlawn Methodist Church.
Its second and long-lasting church building was begun in 1919. An educational building was added in 1953.
