Habitat for Humanity Greater Birmingham is a Christian nonprofit organization focused on constructing affordable homes. The Birmingham chapter was founded in 1987 and has offices at 4408 Lloyd Noland Parkway in Fairfield. Charles T. Moore is president and CEO.
In addition to its regular activities on behalf of prospective homeowners, the group organizes periodic Home Builders Blitzes during which several homes are constructed during a short time.
The organization operates a Habitat ReStore home improvement center at 7952 Crestwood Boulevard in Irondale.
