The Hive was a bar, restaurant and entertainment venue which opened in 2020 in the former "[{The Woolworth]]" location at 1006-1012 20th Street South in Five Points South.
The Hive opened in late 2020 under a partnership with New Belgium Brewing Company of Fort Collins, Colorado. The breweries products were offered in a standalone bar area dubbed "Peerless & The Dude" (named for Birmingham's former Peerless Saloon and Dude Saloon).
The Hive closed in March 2022, citing, "food and beverage supply chain issues, staffing and event obstacles."
