The Southern Building Code Congress, later the Southern Building Code Congress International (SBCCI) is a former Birmingham-based organization which compiled and published model building codes used by local governments to protect public safety.

In 1949 the organization kept offices on the 7th floor of the Brown Marx Building and published a journal entitled Southern Building Official.

In 1994 the SBCCI merged with the Building Officials Code Administrators International (BOCA) and the International Conference of Building Officials (ICBO) to form the International Code Council, which maintains a divisional office in Birmingham.
