Umami is a Thai and sushi restaurant owned by Putu Arsana and Marty Subrapa. It opened in the former Babalu Tacos & Tapas space at 2800 7th Avenue South, in the Rise Lakeview building, on June 2, 2021.
Arsana opened Nori Thai & Sushi in Cahaba Heights in 2013. He and Subrapa opened Shiki Thai & Sushi in Homewood in 2018. Arsana also owns four restaurants in Bali.
