1819 News is a media outlet founded in October 2021 as a wholly-owned subsidiary of the non-profit Alabama Policy Institute. It publishes an email newsletter, a website and a podcast providing news, sports, and political reporting from a conservative perspective, along with conservative commentary.
Bryan Dawson is president and CEO, Ray Melick is editor-in-chief, and Erica Thomas is managing editor. The outlet was spun off as an independent business in January 2023.
