Michael Franklyn Bolin (born October 1, 1948 in Birmingham) is an attorney and former associate justice of the Alabama Supreme Court.

Bolin graduated from Shades Valley High School in 1966 and completed his bachelor's degree at Samford University in 1970 and then entered the Cumberland School of Law, where he served as editor of the Cumberland Law Review.

Bolin was admitted to the Alabama State Bar and began practicing as an attorney in 1973. In 1988 he was elected to a 6-year term on the Jefferson County Probate Court, and was re-elected in 1994 and 2000. From 1992 to 2003 as chief probate judge he supervised county elections. While on the bench, Bolin and oversaw upgrades to court facilities and the acquisition of a computerized land and public records system. He also lobbied successfully for the establishment of a "Putative Father Registry" managed by the Alabama Department of Human Resources to protect the rights of fathers during adoption proceedings. For his work on adoptions he was honored as an "Angels in Adoption" by the Washington D.C.-based Congressional Coalition on Adoption Institute.

He resigned from the court to run for the Alabama State Supreme Court in the 2004 general election and was seated in January 2005. He was re-elected to that judgeship in 2010,2016, and 2020. He retired from the court in 2023.

In May of that year, Bolin qualified to run in the special election for the Jefferson County Commission District 5 seat left vacant by the resignation of Steve Ammons.

Bolin and his wife Rosemary have one daughter by adoption.
