Hollis R. Towns (born in Fort Valley, Georgia) is president and editor-in-chief of the Alabama Media Group. He succeeded Kelly Ann Scott in March 2024.

Towns was a managing editor for the Kalamazoo Gazette in Kalamazoo, Michigan . He joined Gannett in 2004 and served as managing and executive editor for the Cincinnati Enquirer. He was promoted to vice president for local news and regional editor, overseeing more than 160 newspapers and websites. In 2023 he created Gannet's "Center for Community Journalism," to promote community coverage and leadership training.
