Wilson]] the parish expanded its Cursillos de Christianidad and Kairos prison ministries. Chapters of the Brotherhood of St Andrew and the Order of the Daughters of the King were established. He also inaugurated tutoring programs and founded the [[International Children's Community]].

St Mark's Episcopal Church is a historically-Black parish church in the Episcopal Diocese of Alabama located at 228 Dennison Avenue in Titusville South.

The parish was originally established as an outgrowth of St Mark's School, which had been established under the authority of Bishop Richard Wilmer in 1891. It was located at 18th Street and Avenue C on Birmingham's Southside. Principal Charles W. Brooks was appointed as rector of the church and principal of its school in 1899.
