The Downtown Business Association is a non-profit group which promotes cultural activities and recreation in Birmingham's downtown on behalf of businesses located there.

The Association's president is Gail Daw of Advanced Automotive.

From July to October 2006 the Association conducted a survey as part of its "Birmingham Homeless Awareness Movement" (BHAM). Over the course of the survey, 174 respondents agreed with the statement that "The presence and negative behavior of many “street homeless” affects the viability of our businesses, our quality of life, and our city’s image." and joined in calling for the city to pursue ordinances which would limit those behaviors along with expansion of support programs.

The DBA's website contains a directory of downtown businesses grouped by category.
