When the new church applied for admission to the [[Birmginham Baptist Association]], Thirty-Fifth Avenue contested the admission, but the association after investigation admitted the new church and censured Thirty-Five Avenue for certain practices that surfaced in the investigation.

When the new church applied for admission to the Birmingham Baptist Association, Thirty-Fifth Avenue contested the admission, but the association after investigation admitted the new church and censured Thirty-Five Avenue for certain practices that surfaced in the investigation.
