The Alabama darter (Etheostoma ramseyi) is a common species of fish native to the upper tributaries of the Alabama, Mobile, and Cahaba Rivers. The 2.2 inch long colorful spotted fish spawns in spring and inhabits moderately flowing streams with varying substrates.
