Higher Ground Roasters is a gourmet coffee roaster specializing exclusively in Fair Trade, shade grown, organic coffees of specialty grade. The company is located at 8110 Parkway Drive in Leeds.
Higher Ground pledges 1% of its total revenues to environmental organizations, and also creates special blends for specific non-profits, form which 10% of sales revenues are contributed to the organization. The company offsets its power consumption by buying wind-power credits, and uses an afterburner to reduce its own airborne emissions by 98%. The company uses 100% recycled materials and corn-based plastics in its packaging and donates its waste product to local organic farms for composting.
