William D. Owings is an attorney and district court judge in Bibb County. His law practice, with its office on Centreville's Court House Square, specializes in family law.

In January 2008 Alabama Chief Justice Sue Bell Cobb asked him to devote some time to reducing case loads in other nearby jurisdictions, including Shelby County.

Owings and his wife, Carol, have two children, Daniel and Robin.
