The Association of Cajun Music Enthusiasts (ACME) is an organization founded by David Doggett and Dolores Hydock in 1992 to promote the enjoyment of Cajun and Zydeco music in Birmingham. ACME sponsors 18 public dances per year with local or national music groups as well as dance lessons for beginners through advanced students. The group also helps book and staff the Dance Depot at City Stages. Members receive a monthly newsletter with information about upcoming events.

ACME's dances have been held at several locations, including the Concordia Club, the Cloud Room, Wald Park Pavilion, and Zydeco. Dance lessons are held at the Vestavia Hills Civic Center and coordinated through the Vestavia Hills Parks and Recreation Board.
