Mark Cullum (born July 25, 1962) was the editorial cartoonist for the Birmingham News from 1985 until 1996. He was succeeded by Scott Stantis in the position. Cullum left the News to pursue other interests; namely, studying in England at Bristol University, and in Scotland at University of St. Andrews. He was then able to go to Christ Church College at the University of Oxford in England.
In 1991, Cullum began a daily sydicated comic strip for King Features called Walnut Grove, which appeared in 140 daily newspapers. Cullum retired the strip in 2000.
As of 2003, Cullum was a professor at Abeliene Christian University in Abeliene, Texas.
