Claude H. Estes IV (born June 6, 1963) is a certified public accountant and president of Tech Providers, Inc.
Estes earned his bachelor of science in accounting at Birmingham-Southern College in 1985 and started his private practice in 1989 after four years with Ernst & Young. His son, Claude Estes V, was also born in 1989.
In 2001 Estes' company, Tech Providers, Inc., was the subject of investigation into no-bid contracts initiated by then-governor Don Siegelman. The company's contracts with the state tripled after the firm engaged the services of the Matrix Group, a lobbying firm associated with Siegelman.
He married Eleanor Cromwell Johnson in 2003.
In 2007 Estes' company won a $1.3 million contract to provide accounting software and training to the City of Birmingham. An additional $3.2 million contract was sought in September of the same year.
Located at 2117 Magnolia Avenue in Birmingham, Estes' CPA firm and Tech Providers share an address with Ion Interactive, a provider of surveillance services to the Birmingham Police Department.
