Joe John Joseph, known as Mr Joe (born March 20, 1915 - died March 22, 2008 in Birmingham) was a restauranteur and developer.
Joseph was one of ten children born to Abdallah and Lula Joseph. He attended Auburn University before entering the Army Air Corps during World War II. He served in the press corps, writing for Stars and Stripes and serving on General Eisenhower's staff active in the European theater.
In the late 1940s he and his brothers opened the Jack O'Lantern dinner club in Homewood. After it closed in the 1950s he went into the insurance business, but returned to restaurants with the Pig Trail Inn, also in Homewood, in the 1960s. He followed that with the opening of the Triple J Ranch in Alabaster, which he operated until 1978 when he "retired" to develop larger projects including shopping centers and motels.
