The Magic City Copying Co. was a photographic and artistic reproduction service that operated in downtown Birmingham in the 1880s. The company was located at 2027 1/2 2nd Avenue North and was managed by J. C. Cowden with F. G. Godsey as general agent.
The business offered finishing of photographs in India ink, watercolor or oil "in the finest style of the art" and gave "special attention" to "faded and defaced pictures of deceased persons".
