The Eastwood K-Mart is a 100,000 square-foot discount retail store. It opened at 7845 Crestwood Boulevard on December 1, 1969.
The store currently has 65 employees and is managed by Tommy Stewart. As of 2009 the K-Mart store was reported to bring about $275,000 in annual sales tax receipts.
In 2009 the City of Birmingham agreed to contribute $86,000 in incentives for the appliance department from Sears' closed location at Century Plaza to be relocated to K-Mart. The store will be the first to combine the nameplates of the two retail icons now jointly held by the Sears Holding Corp.
