James Dunaway, Jr is a television and radio sportscaster and commentator. He currently is the sports anchor for local CBS affiliate WIAT 42, and also hosts the Dunaway and Brown sports talk show on WSPZ-AM. He was previously at NBC 13 until 2007.
Dunaway came to WVTM as sports anchor in 2000. On July 18, 2005, Dunaway was moved to early morning and mid-day news as the co-anchor, along with Gina Redmond. Station management had been pleased with his news reporting while filling in during Hurricane Ivan newscasts. Dunaway and Redmond replaced Ken Lass and Wendy Garner, and lasted until 2007 when Redmond was promoted to evening news anchor.
