The Mountain Brook City Council is the legislative body for the city of Mountain Brook, which was incorporated in 1942. The policies and budget adopted by the Mayor and Council are implemented by a full-time City Manager. The council meets on the second and fourth Tuesday evenings of each month at Mountain Brook City Hall.
