Carl Robert "Rob" Henrikson (born c. 1947) is the Chief Executive Officer of MetLife, Inc.
Henrikson, whose father was a Pennsylvania-born engineer, attended Indian Springs School, where he was an officer in the glee club. After graduating in 1965, he earned a bachelor of arts in English literature at the University of Pennsylvania in 1969 and a juris doctorate at the Emory University School of Law in 1972.
Henrikson went to work as a management trainee for the company then known as Metropolitan Life Insurance Company right out of college. He was promoted from his Decatur, Georgia branch office to the Atlanta office, and then to Chicago where he became a pension fund manager. He was appointed President of Institutional Business in 1999, President of its U.S. Insurance and Financial Services businesses in 2002, and President and Chief Operating Officer of the company in June 2004. He was appointed CEO of MetLife on March 1, 2006, and became chairman of the board two months later.
